Vintage ball-peen hammer with a wide 1.5" flat face opposite a rounded (peen) head. Found without any original company markings or branding.
Original handle is fibrous, sturdy, and heavy on texture and grain. It now features a laser-engraved assembly of dogwood buds and blossoms. Opposite this scene, the latin phrase "esse quam videri" is deeply burned into the wood- a mantra, to be rather than to seem.
- Cleaned with wood soap, stripped of rust, lightly sanded
- laser-engraved with year altered (2024)
- finished with Odie's oil and buffed to a soft finish
- 2 lbs, 5.4 oz weight
- 4.75" wide head on an 11" handle.
- Solid, sturdy, and well-seasoned.
