Raw Materials for Anthem Necklace Course
These are the raw materials you'll need to create your necklace as I do in this course.
Note: While you don't need to purchase these items from the online retailers I've chosen, but purchasing as much metal and/or supplies from one source will generally save you on both total product pricing (i.e. quantity discounts on silver) and shipping costs.
Happy sourcing!

Sterling Silver Sheet, 22-Ga., Dead Soft (BELL)
To make your bell, you will need at the very minimum 1.75" x 1.75" of this material. Because Rio Grande only cuts sheet metal with one side at a mandatory 6", you could order one piece of 6" x 3.25" and have enough metal to make BOTH your bell and all your bead caps, with some to spare.

Sterling Silver 6" , 22-Ga., Dead Soft (BEAD CAPS)
You will need 5.5" x 1.5" of this material in order to make the bead caps for your spool beads (this is assuming you are going to make 8 spool beads for this project.) To make your bell, you will need at the very minimum 1.75" x 1.75" of this material. Because Rio Grande only cuts sheet metal with one side at a mandatory 6", you could order one piece of 6" x 3.25" and have enough metal to make BOTH your bell and all your bead caps, with some to spare.

Sterling Silver Round Wire, 16-Ga., Dead Soft (BAIL + TOGGLE)
You will need at least 6.5" of this sterling round wire to create both your toggle clasp and the bail for your bell. (Five inches will be dedicated to the construction of the toggle and the remaining length will used to create the bail.)

.925 Sterling Silver Casting Grain (EMBELLISHMENT)
This is optional! I really love the sterling casting grain as it contains many perfectly round granules, which look nice soldered to the bottom side of your spacer beads. Please note that you can get a very similar look from simply melting down silver scrap to create your own granules for embellishment.

Sterling Silver Tubing, 12.7mm OD (SPOOL BEADS)
You will want the top item listed on this page (item 01.15.500), which is a 12.7mm outer diameter (OD) sterling silver tubing. I recommend purchasing six inches, as this amount should be plenty to work with, allowing you to create many spool beads and maximize your practice with the soldering and texturing techniques covered in this course. EDIT: This tubing is also available on Rio Grande, but the minimum purchase there is 12".

Silver Sheet Solder, Medium
This is the only solder we will be using for this entire project! Be sure you purchase sheet as opposed to wire, or if you already have medium wire solder- hammer it out or roll it in a mill so that it will sit flat against your sheet metal.

12.7mm OD Sterling Silver Seamless Tubing (SPOOL BEADS)
Now available on Rio Grande! If you order from here as opposed to SilverSupplies.com, just keep in mind the minimum order from Rio is 12".
